I don't think that Vegas Pro will do anything more than MEP or Magix Movie Studio.Ī solution for upscaling was given by Jeff in this thread. at first these new effects were so If you cant find the Nvidia control panel in either of those places and you are using an Nvidia GPU then youre gonna. I don't think that he understood that to change the frame rate, the program just doubles the images and that there is nothing to be gained. I don't think that he understood that what he was trying to do was not a good idea in the first place - upscaling without improving the image and changing the frame rate. He wasn't able to get to 60fps simply, so he went to Vegas Pro. MLoudnessAnalyzer is a free one that I have mentioned before that is like YouLean Loudness Meter (also free).Īnother one is Steinberg Ozone 8 Elements which comes with several Magix think that we lost the OP near the beginning. Just to have them, Melda has a pile of free plugins. I use it on almost all narration as it does compression as well as EQ as John EB mentioned. Yes, it's expensive, I bought it on sale. My only main complaint with it is it doesn't include the Sound Forge audio editor like the much cheaper Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro Pack does. So I decided if I'm gonna go in, I'm gonna go all in.so I got Vegas Pro 9.

So who's software is gonna support the AVCHD format the best?!?!? Sony of course.

I wanted Sony Vegas cuz Sony made my camera and also helped invent the AVCHD format that the camera uses. I went with Pinnacle Studio cuz it was clearly aimed at novices in it's ease of use and it came packed with a lot of modules (score maker, sound editor, lots of included effects, etc etc) which gave it a great bang for the buck.īut I eventually outgrew Pinnacle Studio's limited or non-existent advanced features. I had eyed the consumer-level Vegas Studio when I was looking for a video editor.

You can always upgrade to Pro 9 in the future on the cheap as well if you want to move up.Īfter using the consumer-level Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate for over a year, I decided I wanted more control and better rendering options for AVCHD files. Most of the additional new features in Pro 9 won't concern the majority of novice users. Vegas Pro 8 has most of what Pro 9 has when it comes to it's basic features. Ask questions and look for buyer comments about the site. Some prices that seem too good to be true, most likely are. If you look around the net, you can get it on the cheap. maybe see if you can pick up the older Pro 8.
